Amber Tamarind Sauce

prep time : Less than 30 minutes
recipe type: BBQ, mops and marinades
ingredients: 12 oz. amber ale
1/4 cup tamarind paste
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/4 cup malt vinegar
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons dark toasted sesame oil
1/2 cup minced green onions
1 teaspoon powdered ginger

Combine all ingredients in a 2-quart nonreactive saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook and stir 15 minutes. Remove from heat, cool uncovered. Puree in a blender and use on chops or ribs.
